Jena is our Executive Assistant and Director of Communications, responsible for our internal and external communications, client support, and community engagement. She holds degrees in history, medieval studies, and secondary education from the University of Connecticut, Fordham University, and the University of Hartford and prior to joining READCO spent more than two decades in business management, retail consulting, and real estate.

Raymond Rella

Controller

Raymond Rella serves as the Controller for READCO Management, LLC and is responsible for all accounting aspects of the company. He has over 20 years of experience in the property management accounting field including maintenance of financial information of several types of entities. Ray also plays a significant role working with Property Managers on process, procedures, and reporting. Prior to joining READCO, Ray worked at Carabetta Management Co. for 21 years as a Senior Accountant. Ray holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Post University.

Geri Marchessault

Vice President, Finance

Geri Marchessault is responsible for financial reporting, cash management, tax, and compliance. Ms. Marchessault has more than 20 years of accounting and finance experience in the real estate industry including multi-tiered ownership structures, investment analysis, proforma projections, and budgeting. Prior to joining READCO, Ms. Marchessault was Vice President-Controller for Realty Finance Corporation (formerly CBRE Realty Finance, Inc.) and Real Estate Investment Officer for Citigroup, Inc. Ms. Marchessault holds a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration, both from Florida Atlantic University. Ms. Marchessault is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ann Marie O’Rourke

Vice President, Asset / Property Management

Ann Marie joined READCO in January 2010 as an Asset Manager with responsibility for equity asset management and portfolio management. Subsequently, she assumed responsibility for the property management team. She is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford with 30 years of experience in the real estate finance and investment industry. In her previous positions with Realty Finance Corporation and CIGNA Investments, Inc., she was a Vice President responsible for debt and equity asset management of real estate assets located throughout the U.S. She has significant experience in implementing property level strategies, repositioning foreclosed assets, dispositions, and problem loan management. Ann Marie directed the closing of two CDO financings and managed the closing process for numerous debt and equity transactions.

Mary Woomer

Property Manager

Ms. Woomer is our Property Manager and direct contact for all property management and accounting matters for our properties. Ms. Woomer has a bachelor’s degree from Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts, and has been managing retail, office, and industrial assets throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut for nearly 30 years. Prior to joining READCO, Ms. Woomer worked in similar property management roles starting in 1989 for American Properties Team, Inc. and Fusco Management. During the course of her career, Ms. Woomer has established an extensive network of vendor relationships, property accounting, and administration experience. Since joining READCO, Ms. Woomer has been actively pursuing continuing education to secure advanced industry certifications as a real estate management professional.

Lex Pellecchia

Assistant Property Manager

Lex joined READCO in 2018 and is responsible for assisting in the daily aspects of property management and maintenance issues as well as portfolio management. She works closely with the Senior Property Managers, Asset Management, and the Facilities staff. Lex has been involved with a variety of READCO’s commercial properties including medical, industrial, office, and retail. Lex has a background in residential property management, having served as Assistant Property Manager with Barkan Management Company. During her time with Barkan, she obtained the title of COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Eastern Connecticut State University.

Laurie Wood

Property Manager

Ms. Wood is a direct contact for all property management and accounting matters. Ms. Wood has a business degree from the University of Connecticut and has been managing retail, office, and industrial assets throughout Connecticut for over 30 years. Prior to joining READCO in 2013, Ms. Wood worked in similar property management roles starting in 1996 for Grove Asset Trust and Fusco Management. Since joining READCO, Ms. Wood has been actively pursuing continuing education to secure advanced industry certifications as a real estate management professional.

Michael P. Lech

Chief Executive Officer

For more than 75 years, the Lech family has developed commercial and residential properties throughout New England. Michael Lech, a graduate of Syracuse University, is the third generation to run the family business. He began in 1994 managing a residential construction company as well as several family-owned retail shopping centers.

After successfully forming and operating several real estate holding entities and a full service property management company, Michael Lech formed the Real Estate Asset & Development Company (READCO) in 1996 as an operating vehicle to manage and maintain the existing Lech family portfolio and to develop new retail projects.

Over the past twenty years, Michael has led his companies in developing and acquiring over $125M in real estate assets and managing over 2,000,000 square feet of properties throughout the Northeast—including numerous credit-anchored retail, entertainment, office, medical, industrial, and upscale residential properties.
